4. MM2 Code Scams to Avoid
Fake MM2 Codes and Code Generator Sites
Sites, videos and TikToks list 'new working codes' or a 'godly generator' that asks for your username or password, a survey, an app install or a 'human verification' step.
MM2 has had no working code since May 2020. Real codes only ever came from Nikilis's own accounts, and Roblox says no generator exists. Anything that asks for your password or a download is phishing.
Free Robux and “Free Godly” Giveaways
Accounts promise godlies or Robux if you join a Discord, invite friends, follow, log in on a link, or 'trade first to enter'.
Roblox has no sanctioned free-Robux offers. A real giveaway never needs your password, a login on another site, or your items first. The 2021 Batwing dupe spread through exactly this kind of 'invite rewards' Discord.
Trust Trades and “You Go First”
The scammer asks you to give your item first (or in a separate trade, or 'to hold it for the giveaway'), promising to send theirs back after. They never do.
Only trade inside one in-game trade window where both sides' items show before you accept. Never accept a deal that needs you to give first.
Dupe Offers and Duped Items
People offer to 'dupe' your godly or sell dupe scripts. They keep your item, or the script steals your account. Mass dupes also crash the value of the duped items.
Duping is an exploit. Nikilis bans dupers (Aug 2021 ban wave). Anyone offering to double your items is either a scammer or about to get you banned.
Untradeable Items and Swap Tricks in the Trade Window
Scammers add items that cannot actually transfer (effects, emotes, powers, radios via an exploit seen in Jan 2022) or quickly swap a valuable item for a lookalike before you accept.
Re-check every slot before you accept; only weapons, pets and misc items trade. Use a value list, and decline anything that changes at the last second.
Account Sharing and Fake Middlemen
Someone asks you to log into their account, share yours, or hand items to a 'middleman' who disappears.
Never share a password or 2-step code. Roblox only asks for your password on its own login page.
Rule of Thumb · real MM2 codes only ever came from Nikilis's own accounts. Anything that asks for your password, a survey or a download is a scam.
